I have found it best to travel to the smaller cities like Cartagena and Barranquilla.
Cali and Bogota the women are professional daters. There are some many agencies the women make a living on joining marriage agencies. There must be 50 agencies in Cali and the translators I talk to say these girls join all the agencies and have dates almost every night. I have met the best women in both Cartagena and Barranquilla.
The men in Colombia have had it too good with their beautiful women. Now more and more are interested in finding foreign husbands. Maybe this USED to be taboo in the Latin culture, but it is certainly less true today than in the past.
I suggest that if the Latin men are very concerned about this, they try treating their women better; this is the real reason why the women are seeking husbands outside of thier borders.
Your warning, sir, is understood. But in the end, it is up to you whether your women continue to be unhappy and disenchanted with the men of your country!
Hi. This is my first post on this board. I had been posting on another board for nearly five years. Anyway, I have been traveling to Colombia for 6 years. Personally, I enjoy it. My first trip to Colombia was with a TLC Group Tour in Feb. 1999. However, after 2 more trips to Barranquilla (Nov. '99 and Feb. '00), I noticed that quite a few of the ladies that I met there bull@#%t too much (ask for money, stood me up on dates, etc.)! In Aug. '00, I started traveling to Cali. What more can I say? I love it! I noticed that many of the ladies I met there treat me better. I'll return there in Nov. Later.

with your statement of the women in Barranquilla.Even the traductor still calls me
here in the states asking for money.
I have been on just about every tour and I have to say the best tour to Colombia I have been on was Foreign Affairs Medellin tour. City is great, women are smoken hot, and the AFA staff there took greet care of me.
Regarding Scourge post about TLC, please note just because you had a bad experience with the women you met through TLC tour this is not indicative of the women from Barranquilla. TLC operates their tours different than other agencies, not saying better or worse just different. TLC uses the tour socials to recruit the women. So the women at the social events come in off the street form ads and so forth. They do not know who these women are. Then they are photo graphed and fill out an application at the social. They do it like this because they do not have an office in most cities they do tours in, I am not sure they have any office out side of the US. Other agencies only invite their members to the socials. Women that are not sincere are removed form the agency and are then never let in to the socials. This greatly reduces the scammers and goal diggers. I have met many very nice girls in Barranquilla so I would have to disagree with you.
Foreign dating has its risks, but really no more risk than you experience when you meet women in your own country. Any person, no matter where they are from, can lie about anything.
I agree that it completely depends on the service you choose. It's crazy that some services think grabbing girls from the street and letting them come to the socials....it is good to know companies like you mentioned a foreign affair make their socials be invitation only so that the women who come to meet you are level headed and all looking for real relationships. With respectable companies like that one you can visit their website and actually find information on their company, where they are located, and see testimonials from men who likes their tours.
Anybody: If you choose to go on an international tour to meet a foreign woman, make sure you use a respectable, well-rated company. If you don't you can be in for a world of trouble
